Kevin McMeen is a co-founder of MidCap Financial. As President of the Real Estate Group, Mr. McMeen manages a team of 25 persons responsible for sourcing, underwriting, and managing all real estate debt transactions.
Prior to joining MidCap Financial, Mr. McMeen led the real estate lending program at Merrill Lynch Capital Healthcare Finance. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch Capital, Mr. McMeen led the healthcare real estate segment of GE Healthcare Commercial Finance and its predecessor, Heller Healthcare Finance.
Mr. McMeen is actively involved in the American Seniors Housing Association and the National Investment Center for the Seniors Housing and Care Industries, where he served as board chairman from 2009 through 2011. He has also served on the advisory board of the Erickson Executive Education program at the University of Maryland Baltimore County as well as the boards of the Children’s Research Fund and Center for Conflict Resolution, both in Chicago. Mr. McMeen holds a MS in urban and regional planning from Georgia Tech and a BS in economics from the University of Wisconsin.
