Prior to joining MidCap Financial, Mr. Avnir was the Chief Commercial Officer at Encina Lender Finance where he was responsible for the origination and syndication efforts across its entire portfolio.  Prior to Encina, Mr. Avnir was a Managing Director at Bryant Park Capital where he focused on deal sourcing, execution and capital markets advisory for specialty finance companies.

Mr. Avnir received a Bachelor of Science in International Business from the University of Buffalo and an M.B.A. in Finance & Investments from Baruch College.
